Ayurvedic Remedies for Dark Circle
There are several ayurvedic practices that help reduce dark circles like oil massages, yoga, getting enough sleep, adding milk and ghee to the diet, etc. While there are some of herbal remedies in Ayurveda that may help such as:
- Aloe-vera: Take fresh aloe-vera gel and apply it under your eyes, avoiding contact with eyes, and massage for a few seconds then leave it on for about 10-12 minutes. Then rinse it off with water. It’s anti-oxidant properties helps in reducing inflammation and improve circulation reducing dark circles.
- Turmeric: Mix turmeric powder with honey and apply the paste under the eyes for 10-15 minutes. Then wash your face with cold water. As a potent antioxidant, turmeric helps in reducing the appearance of dark circles under the eyes.
- Cucumber: Cut the cucumber into slices and place the slices over your eyes for 10-15 minutes. Cucumber has cooling properties that can help reduce inflammation and improve skin tone, hence reducing the appearance of dark circles.
- Rosewater: Soak the cotton pad in rosewater and place it over your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. The toning property of rosewater helps tighten the skin and reduce the appearance of dark circles.
