A Ret TZ Gel is intended for external use only It is important to follow your doctors instructions when using this medication Before application ensure that the affected area is clean and dry Remember to thoroughly wash your hands before and after applying the gel To achieve the maximum benefit from this medicine it should be used regularly Avoid using more than the recommended amount as it will not expedite the healing process and may increase the risk of side effects If your condition persists for longer than four weeks or worsens inform your doctor Maintaining cleanliness of the affected areas can aid in the effectiveness of the medication Common side effects may include itching redness irritation dry skin skin burn and skin peeling at the application site These side effects are usually temporary and tend to resolve with time If these side effects persist for an extended period consult your doctor Take care to prevent direct contact of the gel with your eyes If accidental contact occurs immediately wash your eyes with water and seek medical attention To protect the treated areas from sun exposure it is advisable to cover them with clothing or apply sunscreen before going out in the sun If you are pregnant planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding inform your doctor before using this medication as it may have the potential to cause birth defects


What precautions do I need to follow while applying Tazret?
Tazret should not be used on healthy, eczematous or inflamed skin, as it may cause severe irritation. Externally used medications and cosmetics that have a strong drying effect should be avoided. Weather extremes, such as wind or cold, may be more irritating to patients using Tazret. Avoid excessive exposure to UV rays (sun, solarium, PUVA therapy, or UVB therapy) during the treatment. Use sunscreen and protective clothing during Tazret therapy.

Can I use cosmetics while using Tazotene?
Cosmetics and skin care products can be used but preferably 1 hour before or after using Tazotene. This is done so that the cosmetics/skin care products are allowed to pass slowly through the skin and absorbed completely. Avoid using products which have excessive drying effect.

How should A Ret TZ be applied?
A thin film of the A Ret TZ should be applied once daily in the evening. Care should be taken to apply it only to areas of affected skin, avoid application to healthy skin or in skin folds. Treatment is limited to 10% body surface area (approximately equivalent to the total skin area of one arm).

Is A Ret TZ safe to be used in pregnancy?
A Ret TZ is not advised to be taken during pregnancy. An effective birth control should be used for a woman of child bearing potential. However, in order to conceive, consult your doctor about a time period after which pregnancy can be contemplated after using A Ret TZ. In case, you become pregnant while using this medicine, stop using it and contact your doctor immediately as this product may cause birth defects.

Is A Ret TZ good for skin?
Yes, A Ret TZ has been identified to be useful for skin. It works by increasing the thickness of the outer skin layers which helps in reducing facial wrinkles and discoloration. It is generally helpful in patients who are using other skin care and sunlight avoidance programs.
