Dolocaine Cream functions by temporarily numbing the skin and its surrounding area It should be used in the prescribed dose and duration as recommended by your doctor This medication is intended for external use only Before applying the cream ensure that the affected area is clean and dry Apply a thin layer and gently rub it in order to create a layer of approximately 23mm Subsequently cover the area with an occlusive dressing to provide protection Leave the dressing on for at least 2 hours before any scheduled treatment or surgery Avoid contact with your eyes or mouth In the event of accidental exposure rinse thoroughly with water The most common side effects of this medication include reactions at the application site such as a burning sensation irritation itching redness and rashes However these side effects are usually temporary and resolve on their own If these symptoms persist or become bothersome for an extended period please consult your doctor
