How does the Egrex Tablet work?

Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine that acts by elevating the action of a chemical messenger; GABA which alleviates the excessive and abnormal activity of the nerve cells in the brain. Clinidium shows its activity by relaxing the muscles present in the gut and stomach helps to control muscle contractions and provides relief from pain, bloating, cramps, and discomfort. It also aids in the easy release of gas reducing discomfort in the stomach.

  • It is recommended to take Egrex Tablet without food following the dosage and duration advised by your doctor.

Can you take Librax on an empty stomach?

Take this medicine on an empty stomach at least 30 minutes before food. Do not take it with food. Take your medicine at regular intervals. Do not take it more often than directed.

How many Librax can I take?

Dosage should be limited to the smallest effective amount to preclude the development of ataxia, oversedation or confusion. The initial dose should not exceed 2 Librax capsules per day, to be increased gradually as needed and tolerated.

Does chlordiazepoxide make you sleepy?

As chlordiazepoxide increases the activity of GABA in the brain, it increases its calming effect and results in sleepiness, a decrease in anxiety and relaxation of muscles. Chlordiazepoxide is used for the short-term treatment of severe anxiety, including anxiety associated with insomnia.

Can Librax make you sleepy?

Librax may have a sedative effect, which means that it may make people tired or drowsy. For that reason, its often recommended that people not drive when taking it as well as avoid alcoholic beverages.

What happens when you stop taking Librax?

Stopping Librax suddenly can cause seizures, shaking, stomach and muscle cramps, vomiting and sweating. Physical dependence is not the same as drug addiction.
