ESA 4000 Injection is administered through either subcutaneous or intravenous injection as determined by your doctor Typically a nurse or doctor will perform the injections The dosage will depend on your body weight and the cause of your anemia Taking iron supplements before and during treatment may enhance the effectiveness of this treatment It is important to store ESA 4000 Injection in a refrigerator but use it at room temperature The most common side effects of this medication include nausea vomiting and increased blood pressure It may also produce flulike symptoms such as headaches fatigue dizziness and body aches These side effects are most common at the beginning of treatment but if they persist your doctor can suggest methods to prevent or reduce them If you experience any severe side effects including seizures notify your doctor immediately In some cases this medication can cause serious blood clots that require urgent medical attention Before using ESA 4000 Injection inform your doctor if you have uncontrolled high blood pressure heart disease or goutrelated joint pain Additionally disclose any other medications you are taking as they may interact with this treatment Your blood pressure should be regularly monitored throughout this treatment either by you or your doctor You may also require additional medical tests to ensure that this medication is not causing any harmful effects The effects of this medication on an unborn baby are unknown so inform your doctor if you are pregnant planning to become pregnant or breastfeeding
