Zipac 20mg Soft Gelatin Capsule 15s is an oral medication that affects sebaceous glands and is used to treat severe acne. The drug was approved to treat severe, resistant, nodular acne that is unresponsive to conventional therapy, including systemic antibiotics.

It is a systemic retinoid that inhibits sebaceous gland function and keratinization at pharmacologic doses. It reduces sebaceous gland size and sebum production.

Patients should avoid skin resurfacing procedures like waxing, dermabrasion, and laser therapy during and for six months after treatment to prevent skin irritation and scarring.
